NASA will launch SpaceX Crew 2

Renowned radiologist Kakarla Subba Rao passed away

Dr. Kakarla Subbarao, renowned radiologist and first director of the Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, passed away at the age of 96.
He was a professor of radiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the US.
In the year 2000, Dr. Kakarla Subbarao was awarded the Padma Shri Award for his contribution in the field of medicine.
Dr. Rao was the founding president of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), an umbrella organization for Telugu speaking people in the United States.


Italy launches first food park in India

Italy launched the first “Mega Food Park” at Phanidhar in Mehsana district of Gujarat which includes food processing facilities.
The main objective of this project is to develop synergy between agriculture and industry.
The Mega Food Park Scheme was launched in the year 2008 by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries in India.
A target has been set by the government to set up 42 mega food parks across the country under this scheme.
