CARE Ratings forecast 10.2% GDP growth for FY 2021-22

India, Germany sign agreement to prevent plastic waste from entering oceans

The Government of India and Germany have signed an agreement to prevent plastic entering the marine environment.
Which is titled ‘Cities Combining Plastic Entering the Marine Environment’.
This project will be implemented for a period of three and a half years.
This will be done at the national level, select states (Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Andaman-Nicobar Islands) and Kanpur, Kochi and Port Blair cities.


JMM becomes first party to declare electoral bond payer name

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has become the first party to announce the names of donors through electoral bonds.
According to the report, a donation of 1 crore rupees was announced to the party in 2019-20.
The donation to the ruling party was made by aluminum and copper manufacturing company Hindalco.
Electoral Bond: An electoral bond is a bond on which the value or value is written like a currency note.
This bond can be used by individuals, institutions and organizations to donate money to political parties.
This is an important tool to bring transparency in the process of donations to political parties.

Rekha Menon appointed as the first female chairperson of NASSCOM

Rekha M. Menon, president and senior managing director of Accenture India, has been appointed as the chairperson of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) for the year 2021-22.
With this, she has become the first woman to become the chairperson of NASSCOM.
Menon will replace UB Praveen Rao in the organization.
