सूरीनाम गणराज्य के राष्ट्रपति चंद्रिका प्रसाद संतोखी 26 जनवरी 2021 को भारत के गणतंत्र दिवस परेड में मुख्य अतिथि होंगे. ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री बोरिस जॉनसन गणतंत्र दिवस के परेड में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि शामिल होने वाले थे, लेकिन ब्रिटेन में कोरोना वायरस के नए स्ट्रेन से बढ़े प्रकोप के चलते उन्होंने अपनी भारत यात्रा रद्द कर दी थी. इसके बाद सरकार की ओर से सूरीनाम के राष्ट्रपति को न्योता दिया गया, जिसे उन्होंने स्वीकार कर लिया.
सूरीनाम के राष्ट्रपति चंद्रिका प्रसाद संतोखी इससे पहले 09 जनवरी 2021 को प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस में भी शामिल हुए थे, जहां उन्होंने अपने देश और भारत के बीच लोगों के मुक्त आवागमन के लिए एक प्रस्ताव दिया.

कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री बी.एस. येदियुरप्पा ने बेंगलुरु में 40 कृषि संजीवनी वैन को हरी झंडी दिखाई। इस कृषि कार्यक्रम को शुरू करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय कृषि विकास योजना के तहत केंद्रीय सहायता से राज्य के कृषि विभाग द्वारा इन वैन को लॉन्च किया गया है।

जनता को पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरुक बनाने के लिए नगर निगम ने यह कदम उठाया है. स्टॉलों पर 5 रुपये से लेकर 20 तक का बैग उपलब्ध होगा.

किशन रेड्डी करेंगे लद्दाख की भाषा, संस्कृति,और भूमि समिति अध्यक्षता
लद्दाख के 10 सदस्यीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने 06 जनवरी को केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से मुलाकात की और सरकार से लद्दाख की भाषा, संस्कृति एवं भूमि की रक्षा करने का आग्रह किया है। केंद्र सरकार ने लद्दाख की विषम भौगोलिक परिस्थिति तथा सामरिक महत्ता को देखते हुए लद्दाख की भाषा, लद्दाख की संस्कृति एवं लद्दाख की भूमि के संरक्षण के लिए एक समिति बनाने का फैसला किया है। समिति का नेतृत्व गृह राज्य मंत्री जी किशन रेड्डी करेंगे।
यह समिति केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के विकास में नागरिकों की भागीदारी भी सुनिश्चित करेगी। समिति के अन्य सदस्यों में लद्दाख, लद्दाख स्वायत्त पहाड़ी विकास परिषद, केंद्र सरकार और लद्दाख प्रशासन के निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधि शामिल होंगे।

भारत में 16 जनवरी से कोविड -19 टीकाकरण अभियान होगा शुरू
भारत में कोविड -19 टीकाकरण अभियान मकर संक्रांति, लोहड़ी, माघ बिहू, पोंगल सहित सभी त्योहारों के कारण 16 जनवरी, 2021 से शुरू होगा. यह सबसे बड़ा टीकाकरण अभियान शुरू करने का निर्णय इस 09 जनवरी, 2021 को लिया गया था.
प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय द्वारा जारी किए गये एक बयान के अनुसार, लगभग तीन करोड़ फ्रंटलाइन, हेल्थकेयर वर्कर्स को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी. उनके बाद 50 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के लोगों को यह टीका लगाया जाएगा और फिर, 50 वर्ष से कम आबादी वाले ऐसे लोगों को यह टीका लगाया जाएगा जिन्हें कोई गंभीर बीमारी है. इनकी अनुमानित संख्या लगभग 27 करोड़ है.
राष्ट्रीय नियामक ने भारत में दो टीकों – को-वैक्सिन और कोविशील्ड को आपातकालीन उपयोग प्राधिकार प्रदान किया है.
