The announcement of World Family Day was made in 1993 by the United Nations General Assembly.

Times Group chairperson Indu Jain passed away

Times Group chairperson Indu Jain passed away at the age of 84 due to a Kovid-19 infection.
Indu Jain founded ‘The Times Foundation’ in the year 2000.
She was the founding president of FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), which was established in 1983.
She was also the Chairperson of the Bharatiya Jnanpith Trust, which confers the prestigious Jnanpith Award and the Murthidevi Award.
This trust was founded by Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain (his father-in-law) in the year 1944 to promote Indian languages.
Indu Jain was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s third-highest civilian honor, in 2016.

The first cyclone in India to come in the year 2021 is ‘Tauktae’

‘Tauktae’ cyclone is named by Myanmar, it means a loud lizard.
The process of naming the storm began in 2004.
8 countries name Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Each country has already given eight names.
In this way, a total of 64 names have already been decided.
