United Nations Public Service Day is observed every year on 23 June.
On 20 December 2002, the United Nations General Assembly declared 23 June as United Nations Public Service Day by adopting resolution 57/277.
The event will be organized on 23 June on the occasion of United Nations Public Service Day 2021 under the theme “Innovating the Civil Service of the Future: New Government Models for a New Era to Reach SDGs”.

Delhi government launched ‘Chief Minister COVID-19 Family Financial Assistance Scheme’

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced to implement the “Covid 19 Family Financial Assistance Scheme”.
Under this scheme, an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 will be provided to every family whose member has died due to COVID-19.
In addition, if the deceased was the sole breadwinner in the family, the family would be given a monthly assistance amount of Rs 2500.

India ranks 51st in terms of money deposited in Swiss banks

Mawya Sudan becomes the first woman IAF fighter pilot of Jammu and Kashmir

23-year-old Mavya Sudan, a resident of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, has become the first woman from Jammu and Kashmir to join the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a fighter pilot.
She has become the 12th woman officer to join the IAF and the first woman officer from the state to be inducted as a fighter pilot.

Amitabh Ghosh is an English language writer from India.
He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1989 for the novel ‘The Shadow Lines’ composed by him.
He received the 54th gyananpith Award for the year 2018.
He is the first English writer to be awarded the award.
