अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन (ISA) ने डॉ. अजय माथुर को आईएसए सदस्यों की पहली विशेष सभा में उनके चुनाव के बाद अपने नए महानिदेशक के रूप में घोषित किया है. डॉ. माथुर श्री उपेंद्र त्रिपाठी की जगह लेंगे, जो 2015 में आईएसए की स्थापना से महानिदेशक के रूप में कार्यरत थे.

स्पैरो इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल 2021
बोडो फिल्म "सिजौ" को गोल्डन स्पैरो इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल 2021 में चार पुरस्कार मिले हैं। इस फिल्म ने भारतीय फीचर फिल्म श्रेणी में, सर्वश्रेष्ठ निर्देशक, सर्वश्रेष्ठ पदार्पण फिल्मकार, सर्वश्रेष्ठ पटकथा लेखक और विशेष जूरी पुरस्कार जीता है। यह फिल्म विशाल पी चालिहा द्वारा लिखित और निर्देशित है। फिल्म 2021 के अंत तक रिलीज होगी। गोल्डन स्पैरो इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल 2021 का आयोजन तमिलनाडु में किया गया है।

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने किया महाराजा सुहेलदेव के स्मारक का शिलान्यास
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 16 फरवरी 2021 को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिये उत्तर प्रदेश के बहराइच में महाराजा सुहेलदेव के स्मारक का शिलान्यास किया. प्रधानमंत्री ने बहराइच की चित्तौरा झील के विकास कार्यों का भी शिलान्यास किया. यह कार्यक्रम महाराजा सुहेलदेव की जयंती के मौके में उत्तर प्रदेश के बहराइच जिले में आयोजित किया गया है.
महाराजा सुहेलदेव 11वीं सदी में श्रावस्ती के सम्राट थे. सुहेलदेव ने महमूद गजनवी के भांजे सालार मसूद को मारा था. राजभर और पासी जाति के लोग उन्हें अपना वंशज मानते हैं. जिनका पूर्वांचल के कई जिलों में खास प्रभाव है.
15 जून 1033 को श्रावस्ती के राजा सुहेलदेव और सैयद सालार मसूद के बीच बहराइच के चित्तौरा झील के तट पर युद्ध हुआ था. इस लड़ाई में सुहेलदेव की सेना ने सालार मसूद की सेना को पूरी तरह नष्ट कर दिया था.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने चेन्नई के जवाहरलाल नेहरू इंडोर स्टेडियम में एक समारोह में स्वदेशी मुख्य युद्धक टैंक अर्जुन Mk-1A को सेना को सौंप दिया है. थल सेनाध्यक्ष जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवाने ने रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (DRDO) की इकाई चेन्नई स्थित लड़ाकू वाहन अनुसंधान एवं विकास प्रतिष्ठान (CVRDE) द्वारा डिजाइन और विकसित टैंक का मॉडल प्राप्त किया.

पाकिस्तान सेना ने किया बाबर क्रूज मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण
पाकिस्तान ने 11 फरवरी 2021 को 450 किलोमीटर तक लक्ष्य को भेदने में सक्षम सतह से सतह पर मार करने वाली बाबर क्रूज मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण किया है। पिछले तीन सप्ताह में देश ने तीसरी बार मिसाइल का परीक्षण किया है।
बाबर मिसाइल पूरी सटीकता के साथ जमीन और समुद्र में लक्ष्य को भेदने में सक्षम है।
अत्याधुनिक मल्टी ट्यूब परीक्षण वाहन से मिसाइल दागी गई।
बाबर क्रूज मिसाइल 450 किलोमीटर तक निशाना भेदने में सक्षम है।
इससे पहले 3 फरवरी 2021 को पाकिस्तान सेना ने परमाणु क्षमता से संपन्न 290 किलोमीटर तक सतह से सतह पर मार करने में सक्षम बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल का परीक्षण किया था।
पाकिस्तान ने 20 जनवरी को परमाणु हथियार ले जाने में सक्षम बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल शाहीन-तीन का परीक्षण किया था। यह मिसाइल 2750 किलोमीटर तक निशाने को भेद सकती है।
Pakistan has successfully test-fired a surface-to-surface Babar cruise missile capable of penetrating targets up to 450 km on 11 February 2021. The country has tested the missile for the third time in the last three weeks.
The Babar missile is capable of penetrating land and sea targets with full accuracy.
The missile was fired from a state-of-the-art multi-tube test vehicle.
The Babar cruise missile is capable of hitting 450 kilometers.
Earlier, on 3 February 2021, the Pakistan Army tested a surface-to-surface ballistic missile capable of carrying 290 kilometers of nuclear capability.
Pakistan had on January 20 tested the Shaheen-III, a ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear weapons. This missile can hit targets up to 2750 km.

Four young women fellows of the National Science Academies have been awarded the SERB Women's Excellence Award 2021.

Dr. Antara Banerjee – Scientist B, National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai, Maharashtra from the field of Health Sciences with specialization in Signal Transduction, Biology of Reproduction and Endocrinology.
Dr. Sonu Gandhi – Scientist D from the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad, focusing on the design and fabrication of nanosensors, label-free biosensors from the field of biotechnology.

SERB Women Excellence Award: This is the former award presented by SERB to women scientists since 2013 to support basic research in key areas of science and engineering.
Women scientists should be below 40 years of age.
It should be recognized by one or more national academies such as Young Scientist Medal, Young Association, etc.
The award provides a grant of Rs 15 lakh to the awardees for a period of three years to further their research ideas.
पारिवारिक पेंशन भुगतान की सीमा 1,25,000 रुपये प्रति माह की गयी
केंद्रीय मंत्री जितेंद्र सिंह ने एक अहम सुधार के तहत पारिवारिक पेंशन भुगतान की सीमा 45 हजार रुपये से बढ़ाकर 1.25 लाख रुपये प्रति माह कर दी गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस कदम से दिवंगत हो चुके कर्मचारियों के परिवार के सदस्यों का जीवन आसान होगा और उन्हें पर्याप्त वित्तीय सुरक्षा मिलेगी।
सिंह ने कहा कि पेंशन एवं पेंशनभोगी कल्याण विभाग (डीओपीपीडब्ल्यू) ने उस राशि के मामले में स्पष्टीकरण जारी किया है, जिसमें अपने माता या पिता की मृत्यु हो जाने पर कोई बच्चा फैमिली पेंशन की दो किस्तें निकालने का हकदार होता है।
उन्होंने कहा कि अब ऐसी दो किस्तों की कुल राशि 1.25 लाख रुपये से ज्यादा नहीं हो सकती. यह पिछली सीमा से ढाई गुना ज्यादा की बढ़ोतरी है.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh has raised the limit of family pension payment from Rs 45 thousand to Rs 1.25 lakh per month under a significant reform. He said that this step will make the life of the family members of the deceased employees easier and they will get adequate financial security.
Singh said that the Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW) has issued an explanation in terms of the amount in which a child is entitled to withdraw two installments of family pension if his or her mother dies.
He said that now the total amount of such two installments cannot exceed Rs. 1.25 lakh. This is an increase of two and a half times over the previous limit.

एस. थियोडोर बास्करन जो एक लेखक, इतिहासकार, प्रकृतिवादी और एक कार्यकर्ता हैं, ने सैंक्चुअरी लाइफटाइम सर्विस अवार्ड, 2020 जीता है। इस पुरस्कार की स्थापना सैंक्चुअरी नेचर फाउंडेशन द्वारा की गई थी। थियोडोर बास्करन को वन्यजीव संरक्षण के प्रति समर्पण के मद्देनजर इस पुरस्कार के लिए चुना गया है। उन्होंने अंग्रेजी और तमिल में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के बारे में लिखने के लिए चुन गया है।

s. Theodore Baskaran, a writer, historian, naturalist and an activist, has won the Sanctuary Lifetime Service Award, 2020. The award was instituted by the Sanctuary Nature Foundation. Theodore Baskaran has been selected for this award in view of his dedication to wildlife conservation. He has chosen to write about environmental protection in English and Tamil.
He was born in 1940 in Tamil Nadu. He is an Indian film historian and a wildlife conservationist. Some of his books in the English language include – Dance of the Sars: Essays of a Wandering Naturalist; Book of Indian Dogs, Day with Shama: Essays on Nature.

पश्चिम बंगाल में किया गया ‘राष्ट्रीय संस्कृति महोत्सव’ का उद्घाटन
श्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल जगदीप धनखर ने 14 फरवरी, 2021 को ‘राष्ट्रीय संस्कृति महोत्सव’ का उद्घाटन किया। राष्ट्रीय संस्कृत महोत्सव संस्कृति मंत्रालय का एक प्रमुख कार्यक्रम है, जिसे एकता के विचार से मनाने के लिए 2015 से एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत कार्यक्रम के तहत आयोजित किया जाता है। पश्चिम बंगाल के कूच बिहार पैलेस में इसका उद्घाटन किया गया था।
नवंबर, 2015 में त्योहार शुरू होने के बाद से इस त्योहार के दस संस्करण सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित किए गए हैं।
ये 10 संस्करण दिल्ली, बेंगलुरु, वाराणसी, तवांग, कर्नाटक, गुजरात, टिहरी और मध्य प्रदेश में आयोजित किए गए थे।
वर्ष 2021 में राष्ट्रीय संस्कृति महोत्सव के 11वें संस्करण का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। यह महोत्सव 14 फरवरी से 28 फरवरी, 2021 के बीच में आयोजित किया जा रहा है। यह कूच बिहार, दार्जीलिंग, मुर्शिदाबाद में आयोजित किया जायेगा।
The Governor of Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar, inaugurated the 'National Culture Festival' on 14 February 2021. The Rashtriya Sanskrit Mahotsav is a flagship program of the Ministry of Culture, organized under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program since 2015 to celebrate the idea of unity. It was inaugurated at the Cooch Behar Palace in West Bengal.
Ten editions of this festival have been successfully held since the festival began in November 2015.
These 10 editions were held in Delhi, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Tawang, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tehri and Madhya Pradesh.
The 11th edition of the National Culture Festival is being organized in the year 2021. The festival is being held between 14 February to 28 February 2021. It will be held in Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, Murshidabad.
