Montek Singh Ahluwalia is a Distinguished Fellow of the Center for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) and a former Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India.

Manpreet Singh and Rani Rampal become captains of Indian hockey teams in Olympics
Hockey India has named midfielder Manpreet Singh as the captain of the 16-member Indian men’s hockey team participating in the Olympics.
While Birender Lakra and Harmanpreet Singh have been made vice-captains.
In the women’s category, Rani Rampal has been named the captain of the 16-member Olympic-bound Indian women’s hockey team.
The Indian team is going to play against New Zealand on July 24 in the first match of the Tokyo Olympics.
The Tokyo Olympic Games will take place from 23 July 2021 to 08 August 2021.
The mascots of the Olympic Games are named ‘Miraitova’ and ‘Someti’.
New Zealand won the World Test (WTC) Championship 2021 title
New Zealand has won the first ICC World Test Championship 2021 title by defeating India by 08 wickets in the championship held in Southampton (England).

S&P lowers India’s growth forecast to 9.5%
