Ladakh first union territory to achieve 100% first dose coverage

The Union Territory of Ladakh has become the first state to vaccinate 100% of the people.
It also includes migrant labourers, hotel workers and Nepalese citizens earning their livelihood in the area.
According to the data, a total of 89,404 people have been given the first dose of the covid vaccine.
The state of Jammu and Kashmir was officially bifurcated into the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh with effect from 31 October 2019.

Patrick Schick of Czech Republic also scored 5 goals in 5 matches.
But Ronaldo also helped to score a goal, which led to the winner of the ‘Golden Boot’ and Patrick Schick received the ‘Silver Boot’.
France’s Karim Benzema finished third, scoring 4 goals in 4 matches.

In the match held on 11 July 2021, Italy won their second Euro Cup 2020 title by defeating England in the final.

BCCI formed a 7-member working group for domestic cricket

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has constituted a seven-member working group comprising member associations for domestic cricket in India.
The main focus of the group will be on remuneration of domestic players from last season in which tournaments were canceled due to COVID-19.

First copy of book ‘The Ramayana of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’ presented to PM

Congress MP and advocate KTS Tulsi presented the first copy of “The Ramayana of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This book is written by late Baljit Kaur Tulsi, mother of KTS Tulsi.
KTS Tulsi is a Rajya Sabha member of Congress from Chhattisgarh.


External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar unveils statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Georgia

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar along with Georgia’s Foreign Minister David Jalkaliani unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Tbilisi Park.
During the visit, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar handed over the remains of 17th century Georgia’s Queen Sant Ketevan to the government here.
Empress Ketevan was the Empress of Georgia in the 17th century.
who had attained martyrdom.
Based on Portuguese records, his remains were found in the Sant Augustin Convent in Goa in 2005.

Bhutan becomes India’s first neighboring country to launch ‘BHIM UPI’ service

India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Bhutan’s Finance Minister Lyonpo Namge Tshering launched ‘BHIM UPI’ in Bhutan through a virtual program.
With this Bhutan became the first neighboring country
in India to use the BHIM app for mobile-based payments and “to adopt UPI (Unified Payments Interface) standards for its QR deployments”.
Also Bhutan is the only country that will issue and accept RuPay cards.
Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM): It has been developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
It was launched in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Through BHIM UPI, you can transfer Rs 40,000 in a day.
BHIM works in 13 languages.

India to host World Badminton Championship 2026

The World Badminton Federation (BWF) has announced that India will host the World Badminton Championships in 2026.
This is the
second time that India will be hosting the World Championships.
Earlier this tournament was organized in Hyderabad in the year 2009.
World Badminton Championship 2023 will be held in Suzhou city of China.

Uttar Pradesh Population Control Act

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has prepared a draft of the Population Control Act.
According to which parents will not get government jobs if they have more than two children.
Local bodies and panchayats will also not be able to contest elections and the ration card will not have more than four members.
There is also a provision to deprive them of 77 government schemes and grants.
There is a recommendation to give priority to the parents who get sterilization after 1 child, free treatment, education, insurance, educational institution and government jobs for 20 years of the child.
80 thousand rupees will be given if the first child is a boy and one lakh rupees for the girl child.
These rules will apply to youth above 21 years of age and girls above 18 years of age.
Uttar Pradesh has a target of sustainability by 2050 and the government is trying to reduce the population growth rate to 2.1%.
According to the 2011 census, Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in India followed by Maharashtra and Bihar.
