राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस (National Security Day): 04 मार्च
भारत में, 4 मार्च को भारतीय सुरक्षा बलों के सम्मान में हर साल राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है. इस दिन का उद्देश्य पुलिसकर्मियों, अर्ध-सैन्य बलों, कमांडो, गार्ड, सेना के अधिकारियों, और सुरक्षा में शामिल अन्य व्यक्तियों सहित सभी सुरक्षा बलों के प्रति आभार प्रकट करना है, जो देश की जनता की शांति और सुरक्षा बनाए रखने में अपना जीवन बलिदान करते हैं.
4 मार्च उस दिन को भी चिह्नित करता है जब भारत सरकार के तहत श्रम मंत्रालय द्वारा 1966 में भारत की राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा परिषद की स्थापना की गई थी. पहला राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा दिवस (NSD) 1972 में आयोजित किया गया था.

‘कैच द रेन’ अभियान
बारिश के हर बूंद पानी को सहेजने को लेकर सौ दिनों का एक देशव्यापी अभियान शुरू होने जा रहा है। राष्ट्रीय जल मिशन (एनडब्ल्यूएम) का “कैच द रेन” अभियान राज्यों में लॉन्च किया जाएगा।
इस अभियान की टैगलाइन है “Catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls”। इस अभियान में उपयुक्त वर्षा जल संचयन संरचनाएं (Rain Water Harvesting Structures-RWHS)) बनाने में मदद मिलेगी जो मानसून के गिरने से पहले जलवायु परिस्थितियों और उप-मौसम के लिए उपयुक्त हैं। यह अभियान चेक डैम, रूफटॉप आरडब्ल्यूएचएस, वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग पिट, टैंक की डिसिल्टिंग को बढ़ाकर अपनी भंडारण क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए अभियान चलाएगा।
