IIT-Ropar develops India’s first indigenous temperature data logger ‘AmbiTAG’
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, Punjab has developed the first of its kind Internet of Things (IoT) device ‘AmbiTAG’.
Which records the real time temperature of perishable products, vaccines and even body parts and their surroundings during blood circulation.
The device has been developed under the Technology Innovation Center Avadh (AWADH- Center for Agricultural and Water Technology Development) and its startup ScratchNest.
AWADH is a research center of IIT Ropar.
‘Fawad Mirza’ first Indian equestrian to qualify for Tokyo Olympics
India’s top equestrian Fawad Mirza won the country an Olympic quota after 20 years for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
He is the third equestrian from India to have secured an Olympic quota. Before him, AJ Lamba (1996) and Imtiaz Anees (2000) had given India an Olympic quota in Equestrian.
Fawad has become the first Indian equestrian to officially qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

WhatsApp appoints Paresh B Lal as Grievance Officer in India

Former Prime Minister-President of Mauritius ‘Sir Anirudh Jugnauth’ passes away
Sir Anirudh Jugnauth, former Prime Minister and President of the Republic of Mauritius, passed away.
Aniruddha Jugnauth was the father of the current Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth.
He was considered the father of the Mauritius economic miracle of the 1980s.
The Government of India honored Anirudh Jugnauth with the country’s second highest civilian honor ‘Padma Vibhushan’ in the year 2020.
He was also given the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman.
The Government of India has declared one day state mourning in his honour.
