Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, paased away
Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, has passed away at the age of 99 on 9 April.
In the year 2017, he retired from the duty of the royal family.
Philip was born in 1921 in the Greek island of Corfu.
An 8-day national mourning has been held in Britain over the death of Prince Philip.
Ministry of Agriculture launches ‘Honey Corner and Madhukranti Portal’
Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched the ‘Honey Corner and Madhukranti Portal’ of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) in New Delhi.
This portal has been developed to make honey and other honey products available online.
The portal is an initiative of the National Bee Board-NBB.
The mission aims at increasing farmers’ income, employment generation and exports.

North Korea announced not to participate in Tokyo Olympics
In view of the growing infection of Corona epidemic North Korea has announced that it will not participate in the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan from July 23 to August 8.

In view of the deteriorating condition of Covid-19, the Kerala State Health Department has decided to launch a mass vaccination campaign ‘Crushing the Curve’ to stop the spread.
‘Aardam Health Mission’ has been launched to rejuvenate health centers to PHCs in Kerala.
Kerala launched ‘Break the Chain’ campaign to promote social distance in the state.

Government Launches Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) Scheme
The Central Government has recently launched the 14-digit ‘Unique Land Parcel Identification Number- ULPIN’ scheme.
The scheme has been rolled out in 10 states of Haryana, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Sikkim, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka which will be implemented throughout the country by March 2022.
ULPIN is describe “Aadhaar Number for Land”.
This is a number that will identify every section of land that has been surveyed, especially in rural India, where land records are generally quite old and disputed.
This will prevent land fraud.
High Court Launches Artificial Intelligence Driven Research Portal ‘SUPACE’
Sharad Arvind Bobade, 48th CJI of the Supreme Court of India, has launched the Artificial Intelligence Portal “SUPAE”(Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Courts Efficiency).
The purpose of which is to assist judges for legal research.

PM Modi released the Hindi version of Dr. Harekrishna Mahtab’s book ‘Odisha Itihas’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the Hindi translation of the book ‘Odisha Itihas’ written by Utkal Keshari Harekrishna Mahtab at Ambedkar International Center on 9 April.
So far, the Hindi translation of the book available in Odia and English has been done by Shri Shankarlal Purohit.
Dr. Mahtab was the Chief Minister of Odisha from 1946 to 1950 and from 1956 to 1961.
He is known as ‘Utkal Kesari’.
He wrote the Odisha History Book at Ahmednagar Fort Jail where he was imprisoned for more than two years during 1942 to 1945.
Padma Shri awardee journalist Fatima Zakaria passed away
Famous journalist-writer Fatima R. Zakaria has passed away at the age of 85.
She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2006 for his work in education.
She was also awarded the Sarojini Naidu Integration Award for Journalism in 1983.
Fatima Zakaria, wife of former Dr. Rafiq Zakaria, former Maharashtra minister and Islamic scholar, is currently the head of the famous Taj Hotel magazine ‘Taj’
