Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Virbhadra Singh passed away.
Virbhadra Singh became the Steel Minister on 2009 under the leadership of Manmohan Singh.
He became the Chief Minister for the first time in 1983 and remained in this post for two consecutive terms till 1990.
After this, he was the Chief Minister of the state from 1993 to 1998, 2003 to 2007 and 2012 to 2017.

The private residence of Caribbean country Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise was attacked and killed by a group of unidentified people.
The economic, political and social crisis in Haiti has deepened recently.
Public violence has increased sharply in the capital, Port au Prince, while inflation continues to rise in the country.
There is also a shortage of food and fuel in the country.
60 percent of the population here earns less than two dollars a day.
The crisis comes at a time when Haiti is still trying to recover from the effects of the devastating 2010 earthquake and Hurricane Matthews in 2016.

Dedicated Intermediate Public Transport (IPT) lanes for autos, taxis and rickshaws were also inaugurated at the station under the Multi-Modal Integration (MMI) initiative.

Kerala government to launch its own OTT platform

The Kerala government has proposed to launch its own over-the-top (OTT) platform for Malayalam films.
The government has planned to start it by November 1.
Over the Top (OTT) is a platform through which internet users can watch their favorite TV shows, movies and other shows sitting at home with a subscription plan.
The service operates only through an app on a smartphone or mobile device, without the use of broadcasts or cables.


RBI reappoints Shyam Srinivasan as MD and CEO of Federal Bank
