Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath launched the Sri Aurobindo Society’s ‘Auro Scholarship Program’ for all the students of the state.
This one of its kind initiative, the Auro Scholarship Program, offers monthly micro-scholarships to students to motivate them to achieve better learning outcomes.

Digital payment platform Paytm has launched the covid-19 vaccine finder tool.
This platform will help people to find out the availability of vaccination slots on a single date.
People can find out the availability of slots by entering different PIN codes or district information with their age group (over 18 or over 45).

CBSE ने लॉन्च किया ‘Dost For Life’ मोबाइल ऐप
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new app ‘Dost for Life’ on May 10, 2021 keeping in mind the mental health and social welfare of the students during the epidemic.
This app has been prepared for students from 9th to 12th.
These counseling sessions will be given by 83 volunteer counselors and school principals to students of classes 9 to 12.
These sessions will be free, and three days will be provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Shakuntala Hark Singh Thilstad wins World Food Prize 2021
Dr. Shakuntala Hark Singh Thilstad, a global nutritionist of Indian origin, has been awarded the “World Food Award” of the year 2021.
The World Food Prize was established in 1986 by Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug.
After which the award has been given by the American organization World Food Prize Foundation since the year 1987.
The award was first presented to Indian agricultural scientist Dr. MS Swaminathan in 1987.
MS Swaminathan is considered the father of India’s Green Revolution.

Nepal’s PM KP Sharma Oli loses confidence vote in House of Representatives
Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli lost the confidence motion presented in the House of Representatives.
In support of Prime Minister Oli, only 93 votes were received while 124 members voted against it.
Oli needed 136 votes to win a vote of confidence in the 275-member House of Representatives.

World’s first unmanned vessel to cross the Antalatic: Mayflower 400
The Mayflower 400 ship became the first unmanned ship in the world to cross the Atlantic.
It has been created by the Marine Research Organization PROMare in collaboration with IBM.
It will begin its trans-Atlantic voyage on 15 May 2021 to monitor aquatic mammals, perform plastic analysis in water, and study marine pollution.
It weighs 9 tons.
ProMare has invested $ 1 million for the shipbuilding with global contributions in technology from India, the United States and Switzerland.

Estimates of India’s GDP growth for the financial year 2021-2022 (FY22)
Moody’s, a New York-based rating agency, lowered the country’s economic growth forecast to 9.3% for the current fiscal year 2021-2022.
Earlier the rate was 13.7%.
Japan’s brokerage company Nomura lowered its GDP growth estimate from 12.6% to 10.8%.

Arjan Nagwaswala, the first Parsi in the Indian cricket team since 1975
Gujarat fast bowler Arjan Nagwaswala has been named as a standby player in the team for the World Test Championship final.
Arzan Rohinton is Nagwaswala from Parsi community.
He is the only active Parsi cricketer to join the national team after 1975.
Before him, the last Parsi male player to play for India was Farooq Engineer.
