Ireland cricket team all-rounder Kevin O’Brien has announced his retirement from One Day Internationals.
He is best known for a blistering century in the World Cup, in which Ireland defeated England by three wickets in Bangalore during the 2011 edition.
His 50-ball century is the fastest century in the history of the World Cup.

PM Modi launches special crash course for ‘Corona Warriors’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a specially designed training program for COVID-19 healthcare frontline workers.
Under this programme, more than one lakh frontline workers across the country will be trained.
The program will be launched in 111 training centers spread across 26 states.
The COVID warriors will be trained on specific roles in six functions namely Home Care Support, Basic Care Support, Advanced Care Support, Emergency Care Support, Sample Collection Support and Medical Equipment Support.

Ashish Chandorkar appointed as Director in India’s WTO Mission
India’s Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization (WTO) has appointed Ashish Chandorkar, a private individual, as a Counselor at the level of Director for 03 years.
Chandorkar is the director of the Samahi Foundation of Policy and Research, a Bengaluru-based policy think tank.
For the first time a private person has been appointed in the mission.

Mufti Faiz-ul-Wheed, who was the first to translate Quran into Gojri language, passed away
Noted Islamic scholar Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed passed away at the age of 56.
He translated the Quran into Gojri language for the first time.
He also wrote several booklets including ‘Siraj-um-Munira’, ‘Ahkam-e-Mayyat’ and ‘Namaz ka Masail in the light of Quran-o-Hadith’.
Gurjari – also known as Gujari, Gujari, Gojari or Gojri – is a variety of Indo-Aryan spoken by the Gurjars and other tribes of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The language is mainly spoken in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Delhi and other parts of India.
