PM Modi launches e-RUPI digital payment solution
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a cashless and contactless digital payment solution ‘e-Rupi’ on August 02, 2021.
‘e-Rupee’ has been developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in collaboration with Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and National Health Authority on its UPI platform.

HDFC Bank launches ‘shopkeeper overdraft scheme’
India’s private bank HDFC Bank has launched ‘Shopkeeper Overdraft Scheme’ for shopkeepers and small retail traders.
Under this scheme, shopkeepers can take money from the bank by showing their six months bank statement.
Under this, an overdraft limit of a minimum of Rs 50,000 and a maximum of Rs 10 lakh will be allowed.
