Pushkar Singh Dhami was born in Tundi village of Pithoragarh.

President Ram Nath Kovind laid the foundation stone of Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center in Lucknow.
This memorial will be built on 5493.52 square meter Nazul land in front of Aishbagh Idgah and will also have a 25 feet high statue of Dr. Ambedkar.
Dr. Ambedkar: The 130th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar has been celebrated on April 14, 2021.
He was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow Cantonment, a small village in Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Ambedkar is known as the ‘Father of the Indian Constitution’.
He was posthumously awarded India’s highest civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’ by the Government of India in the year 1990.
He was the country’s first law and justice minister after independence.

KV Sampath Kumar, editor of the world’s only Sanskrit language daily newspaper ‘Sudharma’, passed away at the age of 64.
Sampath Kumar and his wife KS Jayalakshmi were awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ in 2020.
‘Sudharma’ was started by Sampath Kumar’s father Varadaraja Iyengar on 15 July 1970.


Country’s first Aquatic Kingdom opened at Bangalore Railway Station

Indian Railway Station Development Corporation Limited (IRSDC) in collaboration with HNI Aquatic Kingdom has built the department’s first Movable Freshwater Tunnel Aquarium at KSR Railway Station.
It has been opened to the general public from 1 July 2021.
It is the first of its kind ‘Aquatic Park’ which is built on the concept of Amazon River.
Its entry fee has been kept at Rs 25/passenger.


Central Government LIC Chairman’s retirement age increased to 62 years

The government has increased the retirement age of LIC Chairman to 62 years by amending the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1960.
The changes made in these rules shall be called Life Insurance Corporation of India (Staff).
The retirement age for top executives of most PSUs except State Bank of India (SBI) is 60 years.
