Khadi and Village Industries Commission launches ‘BOLD’ project in Rajasthan
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has launched the first of its kind project in the country “BOLD” (Bamboo Desert Garden on dry land area) in tribal village Nicha Mandwa in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
The objective of this project is to boost tribal income and bamboo based economy and reduce desertification in Rajasthan.

Army Chief Manoj Naravane to inaugurate war memorial for Indian soldiers in Italy
Indian Chief of Army Staff Manoj Naravane will inaugurate an Indian Army Memorial in the Italian city of Casino during his official visit to the UK and Italy.
The memorial is built to pay tribute to the more than 3,100 Commonwealth soldiers who took part in the World War II effort to liberate Italy.

Olympic double gold medalist Keshav Dutt passed away
Legendary hockey player Keshav Dutt, who was a member of the Indian hockey team that won independent India the first Olympic gold, passed away.
He was part of the gold medal winning Indian hockey team at the 1948 London Olympics and the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.
He was awarded the Mohun Bagan Ratna Award in 2019, becoming the first non-footballer to receive the honour.

149-year-old ‘Darbar Move’ tradition ends in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has formally ended the ‘Darbar Move’, a 149-year-old biennial tradition of transferring governance between the two capitals Srinagar and Jammu on a six-month basis.
The decision to do away with ‘Darbar Move‘ will result in savings of Rs 200 crore every year.
