अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला वैज्ञानिक दिवस: 11 फरवरी
विश्व भर में 11 फरवरी को विज्ञान में महिलाओं और बालिकाओं का अंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवस मनाया जाता है. ये दिन विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग और गणित के क्षेत्र में महिलाओं और बालिकाओं की समान सहभागिता और भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने और इन क्षेत्रों में कार्य कर रही महिलाओं और बालिकाओं की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को प्रोत्साहन देने के उद्देश्य से मनाया जाता है. इस दिन को पहली बार 2016 में विश्व स्तर पर मनाया गया था.
2021 के लिए इस दिवस का विषय है: “Women Scientists at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19”.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated on 11 February worldwide. कर्नाटक का 31 वां जिला: विजयनगर
कर्नाटक सरकार ने विजयनगर को राज्य का 31वां जिला घोषित करने के लिए एक आधिकारिक गजट अधिसूचना जारी की. नए जिले को बेल्लारी से अलग किया गया है और इस क्षेत्र से शासित विजयनगर साम्राज्य के नाम पर रखा गया है.
The Karnataka government issued an official gazette notification declaring Vijayanagar as the 31st district of the state. The new district is separated from Bellary and named after the Vijayanagara Empire ruled by this region.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा एजेंसी (IEA) ने हाल ही में 'इंडिया एनर्जी आउटलुक 2021' जारी किया। इस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत 2030 तक यूरोपीय संघ को पीछे छोड़कर दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा ऊर्जा उपभोक्ता बन जाएगा और साथ ही अगले दो दशक तक ऊर्जा की मांग में होने वाली बढ़ोतरी में सबसे बड़ी हिस्सेदारी भारत की होगी।
IEA ने भारत ऊर्जा परिदृश्य 2021 में कहा कि 2040 तक प्राथमिक ऊर्जा खपत बढ़कर लगभग 112.3 करोड़ टन तेल के बराबर हो जाएगी, जो मौजूदा स्तर के मुकाबले दोगुना है। इस समय तक जीडीपी के 8,600 अरब डॉलर होने का अनुमान है।
इस समय चीन, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ के बाद भारत चौथा सबसे बड़ा वैश्विक ऊर्जा उपभोक्ता है।
The International Energy Agency (IEA) recently released 'India Energy Outlook 2021'. According to this report, by 2030, India will overtake the European Union to become the world's third-largest energy consumer, with the largest share of energy demand growth for the next two decades.
The IEA said in India Energy Scenario 2021 that by 2040, primary energy consumption will increase to about 112.3 million tonnes of oil, which is double the current level. GDP is estimated to be $ 8,600 billion by this time.

ओडिशा में बनेगा पहला कोविड योद्धा स्मारक
ओडिशा सरकार कोरोना महामारी के खिलाफ लडाई में अपना बलिदान देने वाले कोरोना योद्धाओं के सम्मान में भुवनेश्वर भुवनेश्वर के बीजू पटनायक पार्क में कोविड योद्धा स्मारक बनाने का फैसला किया है जिसमें शहीद होने वाले 101 कोरोना योद्धा का नाम लिपिबद्ध किया जाएगा। इस स्मारक का उद्घाटन 15 अगस्त 2021 को होने की संभावना है।

विश्व यूनानी दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 11 फरवरी को मनाया जाता है, इसे यूनानी शोधकर्ता हकीम अजमल खान की जन्म वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर मनाया जाता है। वे एक यूनानी विशेषज्ञ थे। यूनानी दिवस के अवसर पर नई दिल्ली में आयुष मंत्रालय द्वारा यूनानी औषधि पर सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। पहला यूनानी दिवस 2017 में केंद्रीय अनुसंधान संस्थान यूनानी चिकित्सा (Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine), हैदराबाद में मनाया गया।
यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति यूनान में उत्पन्न हुई। इसकी नींव हिप्पोक्रेट्स द्वारा रखी गई थी।
हकीम अजमल खान, बहुमुखी प्रतिभा के धनी हकीम अजमल खान एक प्रसिद्ध भारतीय यूनानी चिकित्सक, महान विद्वान, समाज सुधारक, लोकप्रिय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, यूनानी चिकित्सा शिक्षाविद और यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति में वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान के संस्थापक थे। इसके अलावा हकीम अजमल खान, नई दिल्ली की जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया के संस्थापकों में से थे.
World Greek Day is celebrated every year on 11 February, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Greek researcher Hakim Ajmal Khan. He was a Greek expert. A conference on Unani medicine is being organized by Ministry of AYUSH in New Delhi on the occasion of Unani Day. The first Unani Day was celebrated in 2017 at the Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Hyderabad.
Unani medicine originated in Greece. Its foundation was laid by Hippocrates.
Hakim Ajmal Khan, versatile Hakim Ajmal Khan was a noted Indian Unani physician, great scholar, social reformer, popular freedom fighter, Unani medical educationist and founder of scientific research in Unani medicine. Apart from this, Hakim Ajmal Khan was one of the founders of Jamia Millia Islamia of New Delhi.

अमेरिका फिर से संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार परिषद में शामिल होगा
अमेरिका के जो बाईडेन प्रशासन ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार परिषद में फिर से शामिल होने का निर्णय लिया है। अमेरिका ने वर्ष 2018 में डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के कार्यकाल में परिषद से हटने का फैसला लिया था। डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने इजरायल के साथ भेदभाव के कारण संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार परिषद से हटने की घोषणा की थी।

तमिलनाडु में बनेगा राज्य का 5 वाँ बाघ अभयारण्य
केंद्र सरकार ने तमिलनाडु में पांचवें टाइगर रिजर्व के निर्माण के लिए अपनी मंजूरी दे दी है जो मेघमलाई और श्रीविल्लीपुथुर ग्रिजल्ड स्क्वैरेल वन्यजीव अभयारण्य के तहत बनेगा. यह भारत का 51 वां बाघ अभयारण्य होगा.
The central government has given its approval for the construction of the fifth tiger reserve in Tamil Nadu which will be built under the Meghalmai and Srivilliputhur grizzled squarrel wildlife sanctuaries. This will be the 51st tiger reserve in India.

On 09 February 2021, India and Afghanistan signed an MoU on Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) for the construction of Shatut Dam (Lalander Dam) on a tributary of the Kabul River in Afghanistan. The project is a part of the New Development Partnership between India and Afghanistan, costing approximately $ 300 million.
India built Maitri Dam, the first dam in Afghanistan, also known as Salma Dam. Which was inaugurated in June 2016. After that it is the second major dam being built by India in Afghanistan.
