भारत में प्रत्येक साल 15 जनवरी को भारतीय थल सेना दिवस मनाया जाता है. भारत 15 जनवरी 2021 को 73वां सेना दिवस मना रहा है.
यह दिन उस दिन को याद करने के लिए मनाया जाता है जब जनरल (बाद में फील्ड मार्शल) केएम करियप्पा ने जनरल सर एफआरआर बुचर, 1949 में अंतिम ब्रिटिश कमांडर-इन-चीफ से सेना की कमान संभाली और स्वतंत्रता के बाद भारतीय सेना के पहले कमांडर-इन-चीफ बने.
भारतीय सेना का गठन 1776 में ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी द्वारा कोलकाता में किया गया था. भारतीय सेना की पूरे दुनिया में एक अलग पहचान है. भारतीय सेना चीन और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका सहित दुनिया की तीन सबसे बड़ी सेनाओं में से एक है. भारतीय सेना सियाचिन ग्लेशियर पर तैनात है जो समुद्र तल से पांच हजार मीटर ऊपर है. यह दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा युद्धक्षेत्र है. साल 2013 में उत्तराखंड में आई बाढ़ के दौरान भारतीय सेना का 'ऑपरेशन राहत' सबसे बड़ी राहत अभियानों में से एक था.

करुणा अभियान-2021: गुजरात
हाल ही में गुजरात राज्य के जूनागढ़, वडोदरा, सूरत और वलसाड में बर्ड फ्लू संक्रमण के मामले देखने को मिले हैं। इसी को देखते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने इस साल करुणा अभियान-2021 के अंतर्गत पक्षियों को बचाने और उनके उपचार करने संबंधी विशेष सतर्कता बरतने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
हर साल पतंगबाजी में घायल होने वाले पक्षियों को बचाने और उनका इलाज कराने के लिए राज्य सरकार एक अभियान चलाती है। राज्य सरकार ने इस अभियान का नाम ही करुणा अभियान रखा है।

भुवनेश्वर स्थित अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (AIIMS) ने तीसरी बार कायाकल्प पुरस्कार योजना को जीतकर स्वच्छता, स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देने और सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं में स्थायी प्रयासों का निर्माण करने के लिए एक बार फिर से अपनी क्षमता साबित की है। एम्स भुवनेश्वर को प्रदर्शन के लिए 2 करोड़ रुपये का पुरस्कार मिलेगा।
संस्थान को लगातार तीसरे वर्ष स्वच्छता के लिए बी श्रेणी के तहत सर्वश्रेष्ठ केंद्रीय सरकारी अस्पताल के रूप में चुना गया है। इसे पहले 2018 और 2019 में श्रेणी बी अस्पतालों (1000 बेड से कम) के बीच देश का दूसरा सबसे स्वच्छ अस्पताल बनने के लिए पुरस्कार मिला था और पुरस्कार राशि के रूप में एक करोड़ रुपये मिले थे।
Bhubaneswar-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has once again proved its ability to promote hygiene, health and build sustainable efforts in public health facilities by winning the Rejuvenation Award Scheme for the third time. AIIMS Bhubaneswar will receive a prize of Rs 2 crore for the performance.
The institute has been selected as the best central government hospital under B category for cleanliness for the third consecutive year. It had earlier received the award for becoming the second cleanest hospital in the country among Category B hospitals (less than 1000 beds) in 2018 and 2019 and received Rs 1 crore as prize money.
आजादी के बाद पहली बार पेपरलेस होगा बजट
कोरोना महामारी (Covid-19 pandemic) के कारण इस बार केंद्रीय बजट (Union Budget 2021) के पेपर प्रिंट नहीं होंगे. यह बजट पूरी तरह पेपरलेस होगा. आजादी के बाद यह पहला मौका होगा जब बजट के पेपर प्रिंट नहीं होंगे. वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण 1 फरवरी को वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 का बजट पेश करेंगी.
इस बार बजट की सॉफ्ट कॉपी साझा की जाएगी. मीडिया रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, यूनियन बजट और इकोनॉमिक सर्वे के दस्तावेज दोनों ही नहीं छापे जाएंगे और सभी को सॉफ्ट कॉपी दी जाएगी. संसद के सभी सदस्यों को आम बजट की सॉफ्ट कॉपी मिलेगी.
संसद का बजट सत्र 29 जनवरी से शुरू होगा और 8 अप्रैल तक चलेगा. यह दो चरणों में होगा. पहला चरण जनवरी में शुरू होकर 15 फरवरी तक चलेगा जबकि इसका दूसरा चरण 8 मार्च से 8 अप्रैल तक होगा. 16 फरवरी से 7 मार्च तक ब्रेक रहेगा. पिछले साल कोरोना के बढ़ते मामलों के कारण संसद का शीतकालीन सत्र आयोजित नहीं किया गया था.बजट छापने की पूरी प्रक्रिया वित्त मंत्रालय के लिए एक त्योहार की तरह होती थी और इसे छापने में काफी गोपनीयता बरती जाती थी. हर साल लगभग 100 कर्मचारी करीब 15 दिनों के लिए पूरी तरह से वित्त मंत्रालय के दफ्तर में ही बंद हो जाते थे और मंत्रालय के प्रेस में ही बजट छापा जाता था.

हर साल गणतंत्र दिवस के जश्न के बीच देश की सीमाओं की रक्षा करने के लिए शहीद फौजियों को युद्ध पदक से सम्मानित किया जाता है. इस सिलसिले में आने वाली 26 जनवरी को दिए जाने वाले पुरस्कार पुरष्कारों की बात करें तो गलवान घाटी (Galwan valley) की झड़प में शहीद तमिलनाडु के रामनाथपुरम निवासी के पलानी (K Palani) को वारटाइम गैलेंट्री अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया जाएगा.
बीते साल पूर्वी लद्दाख की गलवान घाटी (Galwan valley) में चीन (China) के सैनिकों से झड़प के दौरान हवलदार गनमैन के पलानी (K Palani) शहीद हो गए थे. हवलदार (गनर) पोस्ट पर तैनात के पलानी पिछले 22 सालों से सेना में देश की सेवा कर रहे थे. जिन्हें इसी साल 2021 में रिटायर होना था. पलानी 18 की उम्र में फौज में शामिल हुए थे.
