The Rail Mill is an extension of the Traffic Directorate of the Ministry of Railways, headed by an Executive Director (ED) level officer at the Army Headquarters.
The rail mill undertakes the overall coordination, strategic planning and execution of railway logistics support to the defense forces during peace and emergency situations.
The rail mill works in close coordination with the Ministry of Defense for rail operations to suit its requirements. All these railway operations are managed through a separate control room led by the Chief Controller.

महान संगीतकार उस्ताद गुलाम मुस्तफा खान का निधन
मशहूर शास्त्रीय गायक और संगीतकार उस्ताद गुलाम मुस्तफा खान का 17 जनवरी 2021 को निधन हो गया है. वे 89 साल के थे. उस्ताद गुलाम मुस्तफा खान को साल 1991 में पद्मश्री, साल 2006 में पद्म भूषण और साल 2018 में पद्म भूषण पुरस्कारों से नवाजा गया था. संगीत के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए उन्हें संगीत नाटक अकादमी अवॉर्ड से भी सम्मानित किया गया था.
उस्ताद का जन्म 03 मार्च 1931 को उत्तर प्रदेश के बंदायू में हुआ था. उन्हें संगीत के क्षेत्र में 'जूनियर तानसेन' के नाम से भी बुलाया जाता था.
The famous classical singer and musician Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan has passed away on 17 January 2021. He was 89 years old. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan was awarded the Padma Shri in 1991, the Padma Bhushan in the year 2006 and the Padma Bhushan in the year 2018. He was also awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his remarkable contribution in the field of music.
Ustad was born on 03 March 1931 in Bandayu, Uttar Pradesh. He was also called as 'Junior Tansen' in the field of music.

पेट्रोलियम मंत्रालय ने किया ‘सक्षम’ अभियान का शुभारंभ
पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय ने हरित और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए एक महीने तक चलने वाले "सक्षम" नामक जन जागरूकता अभियान की शुरुआत की है। पेट्रोलियम संरक्षण अनुसंधान एसोसिएशन (PCRA) द्वारा उपभोक्ताओं को स्वच्छ ईंधनों की तरफ प्रेरित करने के लिए भरोसा दिलाना तथा जीवाश्म ईंधन का बुद्धिमानी से उपयोग करने के लिए व्यवहारगत बदलावों को लाने के लिए प्रेरित करने के लिए अभियान का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। अभियान सात प्रमुख 7 वाहकों के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाएगा, जिनका प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने हाल ही में उल्लेख किया था।
सक्षम का अर्थ संरक्षण क्षमता महोत्सव है।
पुरे देश में चलाए जाने वाले अभियान में स्वच्छ ईंधन का उपयोग करने के फायदों के बारे में लोगों में जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए विभिन्न गतिविधियों जैसे साइक्लोट्रॉन, किसान कार्यशालाएं, सेमिनार, पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता, सीएनजी वाहन ड्राइविंग प्रतियोगिता आदि शामिल होंगे।
इनमें गैस आधारित अर्थव्यवस्था की ओर बढ़ना, जीवाश्म ईंधन का स्वच्छ उपयोग, जैव स्रोतों को चलाने के लिए घरेलू स्रोतों पर अधिक निर्भरता और इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों का बढ़ता उपयोग शामिल हैं।

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has launched a month-long public awareness campaign called "Saksham" to spread awareness about green and clean energy. A campaign is being organized by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) to convince consumers to move towards clean fuels and to bring behavioral changes to use fossil fuels wisely. The campaign will spread awareness about seven major 7 carriers, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently mentioned.

The campaign across the country will include various activities such as cyclotrons, farmer workshops, seminars, painting competitions, CNG vehicle driving competitions etc. to spread awareness among the people about the benefits of using clean fuels.
These include a move towards a gas-based economy, clean use of fossil fuels, greater reliance on domestic sources to drive bio-sources, and increased use of electric vehicles.

जनजातीय मंत्रालय को मिला स्कॉच चैलेंजर पुरस्कार
जनजातीय मामलों के मंत्रालय को ई-गवर्नेस के लिए स्कॉच चैलेंजर पुरस्कार देने की घोषणा की गई है। जनजातीय मामलों के मंत्री अर्जुन मुंडा ने वास्तव में पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया। मंत्रालय को यह पुरस्कार आईटी-नीत की पहल और दूसरे परिवर्तनकारी कार्यों के लिए दिया गया है। इन परिवर्तनों से मंत्रालय में कार्यकुशलता में सुधार हुआ है।

Nazi Shamim Khan, Ambassador of Fiji in Geneva, has been appointed as the President of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
Nazat Shamim Khan will serve as the President of the National Human Rights Council in the year 2021. He was selected through a secret vote after no consensus was formed.
Typically, the UNHRC rotates rotating the presidency between regions and the president is elected unanimously. It was the first time in its 15-year history that the council began the year without a chairman and voted in the end.
Uzbekistan ambassador Ulugbek Lapsov and Bahrain ambassador Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheri were the other candidates for the presidency along with Nazat Shamim Khan. Nazat Shamim Khan received 29 votes out of 47 and was elected president.
UNHRC: It is a body of the United Nations which works to protect human rights worldwide. UNHRC was established in the year 2006 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It has 47 members. In October last year, Pakistan again became a member of the UNHRC. Now, it will remain a member until 2023. India is a member of the council till 2021.

केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक को उनके साहित्यिक कार्य के लिए कनाडा की ‘हिंदी राइटर्स गिल्ड’ ने सम्मानित किया। निशंक को ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम में राज्यपाल की मौजदूगी में ‘साहित्य गौरव सम्मान’ दिया गया है। इस मौके पर कनाडा में भारत के उच्चायुक्त अजय बिसारिया भी मौजूद थे।
