विश्व पैंगोलिन दिवस (World Pangolin Day) हर साल "फरवरी के तीसरे शनिवार" को मनाया जाता है. 2021 में, 20 फरवरी 2020 को वार्षिक विश्व पैंगोलिन दिवस मनाया जा रहा है. यह आयोजन का 10वां संस्करण है. इस दिन का उद्देश्य इन अद्वितीय स्तनधारियों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना और संरक्षण प्रयासों को तेज करना है. एशिया और अफ्रीका में पैंगोलिन की संख्या तेजी से घट रही है.
World Pangolin Day is celebrated every year on the "third Saturday of February". In 2021, the annual World Pangolin Day is being observed on 20 February 2020. This is the 10th edition of the event. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about these unique mammals and intensify conservation efforts. The number of pangolins in Asia and Africa is decreasing rapidly.
केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने शुरू किया ‘गो इलेक्ट्रिक अभियान’
ईवी चार्जिंग इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और ई-मोबिलिटी के साथ-साथ भारत में इलेक्ट्रिक कुकिंग के फायदों के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए केंद्रीय सड़क, परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने 19 फरवरी, 2021 को ‘गो इलेक्ट्रिक अभियान’ की शुरुआत की.
यह अभियान एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल है जो आने वाले वर्षों में भारत के जीवाश्म ईंधन आयात निर्भरता को कम करने में मदद करेगा और यह हरियाली और स्वच्छ भविष्य की दिशा में एक कदम आगे होगा.
इलेक्ट्रिक ईंधन के लाभ
• इलेक्ट्रिक ईंधन जीवाश्म ईंधन के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण विकल्प है. जीवाश्म ईंधन का आयात बिल 8 लाख करोड़ रुपये है.
• पारंपरिक ईंधन की तुलना में, इलेक्ट्रिक ईंधन में कम उत्सर्जन और कम लागत होने के साथ-साथ यह स्वदेशी भी है.
• कम ईंधन अपव्यय के कारण भारत में इलेक्ट्रिक मोड से खाना पकाने से ग्राहकों को लाभ हो सकता है.
• सार्वजनिक परिवहन का विद्युतीकरण न केवल किफायती होगा, बल्कि पर्यावरण के अनुकूल भी होगा.
• कृषि क्षेत्र में, कृषि अपशिष्ट और बायोमास से हरित ऊर्जा उत्पन्न की जा सकती है जो देश भर के किसानों के लिए फायदेमंद होगी.
Union Minister of Roads, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari launched the 'Go Electric Campaign' on 19 February 2021 to spread awareness about EV charging infrastructure and e-mobility as well as the benefits of electric cooking in India.
This campaign is an important initiative that will help reduce India's fossil fuel import dependence in the coming years and will be a step forward towards greener and cleaner future.
Benefits of electric fuel
• Electric fuel is an important alternative to fossil fuels. The import bill for fossil fuels is Rs 8 lakh crore.
• Compared to conventional fuels, electric fuel is indigenous with lower emissions and lower cost.
• Customers can benefit from electric mode cooking in India due to less fuel wastage.
• Electrification of public transport will not only be economical, but will also be environmentally friendly.
• In the agricultural sector, green energy can be generated from agricultural waste and biomass which will be beneficial for farmers across the country.
हैदराबाद को ‘2020 Tree City of the World’ के रूप में मान्यता दी गयी
संयुक्त राष्ट्र के खाद्य और कृषि संगठन (एफएओ) और आर्बर डे फाउंडेशन ने हाल ही में तेलंगाना की राजधानी हैदराबाद को ‘2020 ट्री सिटी ऑफ द वर्ल्ड’ के रूप में मान्यता दी है। हैदराबाद अब तक ट्री सिटी के रूप में मान्यता प्राप्त करने वाला भारत का एकमात्र शहर है. इस मान्यता के साथ, यह समान विचारधारा वाले वैश्विक शहरों के नेटवर्क में शामिल हो गया है जो स्वस्थ, लचीला और खुशहाल शहरों के निर्माण में पेड़ों के महत्व को पहचानते हैं.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the Arbor Day Foundation have recently recognized Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, as the '2020 Tree City of the World'. Hyderabad is the only city in India to be recognized as a tree city till now. With this recognition, it has joined a network of like-minded global cities that recognize the importance of trees in building healthy, resilient and prosperous cities.
2020 is the second year of the Tree City of the World recognition program, with 120 cities from 63 countries. Most cities were from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO): It is a specialized agency of the United Nations. The FAO leads international efforts to defeat hunger and improve nutritional security as well as food security. It was established by the United Nations in October 1945. It is headquartered in Rome, Italy. It has regional offices in 130 countries. The FAO coordinates with governments and development agencies for the improvement and development of agriculture, fisheries, forestry, land resources and water resources. It consists of 197 member nations.
Arbor Day Foundation: It is a non-profit conservation and education organization. It was founded in the year 1972 by John Rosseno in Nebraska, USA. This organization is the largest non-profit membership organization dedicated to plantation. It works with the corporate mission to "motivate people to plant, care". Dan Lambe is the current president of this foundation.
‘सिक्किम की छात्राओं के लिए मुफ्त उपहार दूध’ पहल लॉन्च की गई
सिक्किम सरकार ने 'सिक्किम की छात्राओं के लिए मुफ्त उपहार दूध' पहल लॉन्च किया। इस पहल के तहत, हर दिन लगभग 1500 छात्राओं को 200 मिलीलीटर दूध प्रदान किया जाएगा। यह बच्चों में कुपोषण को कम करने के लिए शुरू किया गया है। सरकार बाद में बड़े पैमाने पर इसका विस्तार करेगी।
Sikkim Government launched 'Free Milk Milk for Girls of Sikkim' initiative. Under this initiative, 200ml milk will be provided to about 1500 girl students every day. It has been introduced to reduce malnutrition in children. The government would later expand it on a larger scale.

राउरकेला में भारत के सबसे बड़े हॉकी स्टेडियम की रखी गई आधारशिला
ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने राज्य के इंडस्ट्री सिटी राउरकेला में देश के विश्व स्तरीय हॉकी स्टेडियम की मंगलवार को आधारशिला रखी। यह देश का सबसे बड़ा हॉकी स्टेडियम होगा। करीब 20,000 दर्शकों की क्षमता वाले इस नए हॉकी स्टेडियम का नाम स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बिरसा मुंडा के नाम पर रखा गया है और इसमें 2023 में होने वाले पुरुष हॉकी विश्व कप के मैच खेले जाएंगे।
इस स्टेडियम का निर्माण राउरकेला के बिजू पटनायक तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में 15 एकड़ भूमि में किया जाएगा।
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone of the country's world-class hockey stadium in the state's Industry City, Rourkela on Tuesday. It will be the largest hockey stadium in the country. The new hockey stadium, with a capacity of around 20,000 spectators, is named after freedom fighter Birsa Munda and will feature the 2023 Men's Hockey World Cup matches.
The stadium will be constructed on 15 acres of land at the Biju Patnaik Technical University campus in Rourkela.
