लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल आइच बने एनसीसी के नए महानिदेशक
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल तरुण कुमार आइच ने 1 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) के महानिदेशक के रूप में पदभार संभाला। वह देश के प्रमुख युवा संगठन के 33वें महानिदेशक हैं।
जून 1986 में मद्रास रेजिमेंट की 16वीं बटालियन में कमिशन किए गए आइच राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी, खड़कवासला और भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी, देहरादून के पूर्व छात्र हैं। उन्होंने मद्रास विश्वविद्यालय से रक्षा और रणनीतिक अध्ययन में एम.फिल किया है।

Lieutenant General Tarun Kumar Aich took over as the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on 1 January. He is the 33rd Director General of the country's premier youth organization.
Aich, who was commissioned in the 16th Battalion of the Madras Regiment in June 1986, is an alumnus of the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla and the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He has done his M.Phil in Defense and Strategic Studies from Madras University.

पटना मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र को मिला शताब्दी मौसम वेधशाला का दर्जा
के मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र ने एक नया खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया है. पटना मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र को विश्व मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र जिनेवा ने शताब्दी मौसम वेधशाला का दर्जा दिया है. इतना ही नहीं पटना मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र मौसम विज्ञान और संबद्ध विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में वैज्ञानिक अवलोकन के दीर्घकालिक रिकॉर्ड वाले शहरों के आला क्लब में शामिल हो गया है. बीते दिनों हुई 72वीं कार्यकारी परिषद की बैठक में पटना के मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र को यह दर्जा दिया गया है.
The Meteorological Center has named a new title. Patna Meteorological Center has been given the status of Shatabdi Meteorological Observatory by the World Meteorological Center, Geneva. Not only this, Patna Meteorological Center has joined the niche club of cities with long-term record of scientific observation in the field of meteorology and allied sciences. This status has been given to the Meteorological Center of Patna in the 72nd Executive Council meeting held recently.

The Australian Government has recently announced some changes to its national anthem "Advance Australia Fair". The second line of the national anthem has been changed to 'For we are one and free'.
The Australian national anthem "Advance Australia Fair" was written in 1878. It became the official national anthem of Australia in 1984. According to critics, the words "for we are young and free" destroy 50,000 years of Australia's history. The word 'youth' means that Australian history began only with colonialism. Accordingly, it is believed that this national anthem celebrates British colonialism. It is not acceptable to the island nation's indigenous communities, they still celebrate Australia Day (26 January) as Invasion Day.
Australia's national anthem was composed by Peter Dodds McCormick.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वित्तीय सेवा केंद्र प्राधिकरण (International Financial Services Centres Authority-IFSCA) अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतिभूति संगठन (International Organization of Securities Commissions-IOSCO) का सहयोगी सदस्य बन गया है। IOSCO का मुख्यालय मैड्रिड, स्पेन में स्थित है।

हैदराबाद में देश का पहला रिमोट मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम लॉन्च किया गया
हाल ही में देश के सबसे बड़े आयल रिटेलर ‘इंडियन ऑयल कार्पोरेशन’ ने घोषणा की कि उसने तेल रिफाइनरियों की टर्बाइनों के लिए देश का पहला रिमोट मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम लॉन्च किया है।
हैदराबाद में स्थित इस परियोजना का उद्घाटन हाल ही में भारत सरकार के पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान ने किया है।
यह पहली बार है जब देश में इस तरह की बहु-इकाई निगरानी प्रणाली को किसी आयल पीएसयू द्वारा कार्यान्वित किया जा रहा है।
मूल रूप से उपर्युक्त रिमोट मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम को संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में जनरल इलेक्ट्रिक के अटलांटा विश्लेषणात्मक केंद्र से संचालित करने की परिकल्पना की गई थी, लेकिन डेटा रेजिडेंसी क्लॉज और राष्ट्रीय साइबर सुरक्षा दिशा-निर्देशों के कारण, अब इसे हैदराबाद से संचालित किया जाएगा।

इंडियन ऑयल कार्पोरेशन की तेल रिफाइनरियों की टर्बाइनों की ट्रैकिंग के लिए रिमोट मॉनिटरिंग एंड ऑपरेशन सेंटर को भेल (BHEL) और जनरल इलेक्ट्रिक (GE) के संयुक्त उपक्रम द्वारा लागू किया गया है। इस संयुक्त उपक्रम का नाम ‘बीएचईएल-जीई गैस टर्बाइन सर्विसेज’(BHEL-GE Gas Turbine Services ,BGGTS) है।
इंडियन ऑयल कार्पोरेशन की तेल रिफाइनरियों की टर्बाइनों की ट्रैकिंग के लिए रिमोट मॉनिटरिंग में प्रोएक्टिव प्रिडेटिव एनालिटिक्स-आधारित ऑटोमेटिक एनोमली डिटेक्शन प्रौद्योगिकी का इस्तेमाल किया गया है।
इस रिमोट मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम से इंडियन ऑयल कार्पोरेशन की आठ रिफाइनरियों के 27 टर्बाइनों को डिजिटली रूप से दूर से ही बैठकर हैदराबाद से मानीटर किया जा सकेगा। इस सिस्टम से गैस टर्बाइन से संबंधित उभरने वाले मुद्दों का पता लगाने और उनका निदान करने में मदद मिलेगी।
Recently the Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest oil retailer, announced that it has launched the country's first remote monitoring system for oil refineries' turbines.
The project located in Hyderabad has been inaugurated recently by Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
This is the first time such a multi-unit monitoring system is being implemented in the country by an oil PSU.
The above-mentioned remote monitoring system was originally envisaged to operate from General Electric's Atlanta Analytical Center in the United States, but due to the data residency clause and national cyber security guidelines, it will now be operated from Hyderabad.
About the remote monitoring system of the refineries:
The Remote Monitoring and Operation Center has been implemented by a joint venture of BHEL (BHEL) and General Electric (GE) for tracking the oil refineries of Indian Oil Corporation. The name of the joint venture is 'BHEL-GE Gas Turbine Services' (BHEL-GE Gas Turbine Services, BGGTS).
Proactive Predictive Analytics-based automatic anomaly detection technology has been used in remote monitoring for tracking of oil refineries of Indian Oil Corporation.
With this remote monitoring system, 27 turbines of eight refineries of Indian Oil Corporation can be digitally monitored remotely from Hyderabad. This system will help in detecting and diagnosing issues related to gas turbines.
थौबल बहुउद्देशीय परियोजना का उद्घाटन किया गया
हाल ही में केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने वर्चुअल मोड के माध्यम से मणिपुर के इंफाल में थौबल बहुउद्देशीय परियोजना (थौबल डैम) का उद्घाटन किया है। यह परियोजना मूल रूप से वर्ष 2014 में शुरू की गई थी। 462 करोड़ की इस परियोजना का लक्ष्य राज्य में 35,104 हेक्टेयर भूमि की सिंचाई करना है। शाह ने यहाँ एक एकीकृत कमान और नियंत्रण केंद्र सहित परियोजनाओं के लिए आधारशिला भी रखी।
Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated the Thoubal Multipurpose Project (Thoubal Dam) in Imphal, Manipur via virtual mode. The project was originally launched in the year 2014. This project worth 462 crore aims to irrigate 35,104 hectares of land in the state. Shah also laid the foundation stone for projects here, including an integrated command and control center.

The Asian Development Bank has signed a $ 231 million loan with the Government of India to increase power generation capacity in Assam. This is the third installment loan given for the 'Assam Power Sector Investment Program', which was approved by the ADB Board in July 2014.
Under this project, a 120 MW hydroelectric power plant will be built. The program focuses on increasing the capacity and efficiency of the energy service and distribution system in Assam to improve the availability of electricity service to all consumers.

सोशल इम्पैक्ट बॉन्ड (SIB): सोशल इम्पैक्ट बॉन्ड को पे-फॉर-सक्सेस बॉन्ड या पे-फॉर-सक्सेस फ़ाइनेंस भी कहा जाता है. जो सोशल बॉन्ड मूल रूप से सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के प्राधिकरण के साथ एक अनुबंध है, जहाँ यह बेहतर सामाजिक परिणामों के लिए भुगतान करता है।

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation of Pune has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) India for the co-creation of India's first Social Impact Bond (SIB). This is the first time a governmental body will act as an 'Outcome Funder' in a bond, while traditionally most government-funded public projects require large and early investment by the government with substantial duration of results. And that includes many risks.
Social Impact Bond (SIB): Social impact bond is also known as pay-for-success bond or pay-for-success finance. A social bond is basically a contract with a public sector authority, where it pays for better social outcomes.
This bond is a form of outcome-based contract and aims to improve social outcomes for a specific group of citizens.
If the pre-determined project target is met, the PCMC administration will bear the cost of a public welfare project linked to the bond.
