विश्व ब्रेल दिवस : 4 जनवरी
वर्ष 2019 से हर साल 4 जनवरी को विश्व स्तर पर विश्व ब्रेल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन दृष्टि बाधित और दृष्टि-विहीन लोगों के लिए मानवाधिकार हासिल करने में संचार के साधन के रूप में ब्रेल के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया जाता है। यह दिन दृष्टि बाधित लोगों के लिए ब्रेल लिपि विकसित करने वाले लुई ब्रेल की जयंती को चिन्हित करने के लिए मनाया जाता है, जिनका जन्म उत्तरी फ्रांस के कूपवरे (Coupvray) शहर में 4 जनवरी 1809 को हुआ था।
ब्रेल लिपि: ब्रेल लिपि में 6 बिन्दुओं के माध्यम से ही दृष्टिबाधित दिव्यांगजन पूरे संसार का ज्ञान हासिल कर सकते हैं। उनकी हाथों की उंगलियां इन 6 बिन्दुओं के सहारे से संगीत, साहित्य, कला, गणित, विज्ञान की दुनियां को महसूस कर पाती हैं। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुमान के मुताबिक तीन करोड़ साठ लाख लोग दृष्टिबाधित हैं और 21 करोड़ साठ लाख लोग आंशिंक रूप से दृष्टिबाधित हैं।

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने बुधवार को राज्य सरकार की निर्देशिका के लिए लोगों को डिजिटल एक्सेस देने के लिए एक मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन 'डिजिनेस्ट' की शुरुआत की, जिसे एक बटन के क्लिक के साथ स्मार्ट फोन के साथ सिंक किया जा सकता है।

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने देशभर में भुगतान के डिजिटलीकरण के स्तर का पता लगाने के लिए एक समग्र डिजिटल भुगतान सूचकांक (डीपीआई) बनाया है। इसके लिए आधार अवधि मार्च 2018 को बनाया गया है।
डीपीआई में पांच व्यापक मानदंड शामिल
आने वाले समय में मार्च 2021 से चार महीने के अंतर के साथ आरबीआई-डीपीआई का प्रकाशन छमाही आधार पर केंदीय बैंक की वेबसाइट पर किया जाएगा। आरबीआई-डीपीआई में पांच व्यापक मानदंड शामिल हैं जो विभिन्न समयावधि में डिजिटल भुगतान की पैठ और स्थिति का आकलन करते हैं।
1. भुगतान को सुगम बनाने वाले (25 फीसदी भारांश)
2. भुगतान संबंधी बुनियादी ढांचा-मांग पक्ष कारक (10 फीसदी)
3. भुगतान संबंधी बुनियादी ढांचा-आपूर्ति पक्ष कारक (15 फीसदी)
4. भुगतान प्रदर्शन (45 फीसदी)
5. उपभोक्ता केंद्रित (पांच फीसदी)
इन प्रत्येक मानदंडों के उप-मानदंड हैं, जिसमें डिजिटल लेन-देन का पता लगाने वाले विभिन्न संकेतक शामिल हैं। आरबीआई-डीपीआई को मार्च 2018 को आधार अवधि मानकर तैयार किया गया है। इसका मतलब है कि मार्च 2018 के लिये डीपीआई अंक 100 है।
डिजिटल पेमेंट्स इंडेक्स की आवश्यकता
भारत में डिजिटल भुगतानों में काफी तेजी देखी गयी है। यूनिफाइड पेमेंट्स इंटरफेस (यूपीआई) के अनुसार, दिसंबर 2020 में लगभग 4.16 लाख करोड़ रुपये के 223 करोड़ रुपये के लेन-देन किए गए, जबकि नवंबर 2020 में 3.9 लाख करोड़ रुपये के 221 करोड़ रुपये के लेन-देन किये गये थे। देश में डिजिटल लेन-देन दिन-प्रतिदिन बढ़ता जा रहा है। इसलिए, इसके विकास को मापना और विकास का समर्थन करने के लिए संबंधित पहलों को लॉन्च करना आवश्यक है।

2. Payment Infrastructure-Demand Side Factors (10%)
3. Payment related infrastructure-supply side factors (15%)
4. Payment Performance (45 Percent)
5. Consumer Centered (Five Percent)
Each of these criteria has sub-criteria, including various indicators that detect digital transactions. The RBI-DPI has been prepared with March 2018 as the base period. This means that the DPI mark for March 2018 is 100.
Digital Payments Index required
Digital payments have seen a boom in India. According to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), in December 2020, transactions worth Rs 223 crore worth about Rs 4.16 lakh crore were done, while in November 2020, transactions worth Rs 221 crore worth Rs 3.9 lakh crore were done. Digital transactions in the country are increasing day by day. Therefore, it is necessary to measure its growth and launch related initiatives to support development.

रेल मंत्रालय ने खिलाड़ियों को किराये में मिलने वाली छूट को बंद कर दिया है. रेल मंत्रालय की ओर से लंबे समय से राष्ट्रीय खेल आयोजनों में खेलने वाली टीमों, खिलाड़ियों को सेकेंड क्लास स्लीपर के लिए 75 प्रतिशत, प्रथम श्रेणी के लिए 50 प्रतिशत, एसी-3 के लिए 50 और एसी-2 के लिए 25 प्रतिशत राशि की छूट दी जाती थी. राष्ट्रीय कंपटीशन देश के दूर दराज इलाकों में होते हैं और इनमें बड़ी संख्या में खिलाड़ी हिस्सा लेते हैं. ऐसे में यह छूट राष्ट्रीय खेल संघों, राज्य संघों और राज्य ओलंपिक संघों के लिए वरदान से कम नहीं थी, लेकिन रेल मंत्रालय ने इसे वापस ले लिया है.

भारत के सियाचिन ग्लेशियर को सुरक्षित रखने में अहम भूमिका निभाने वाले जाने-माने पर्वतारोही कर्नल नरेंद्र 'बुल' कुमार का निधन। उनका 1984 के ऑपरेशन मेघदूत की सफलता के में अहम योगदान था। वह नंदा देवी पर चढ़ाई करने वाले पहले भारतीय थे। उन्होंने 1965 में माउंट एवरेस्ट, माउंट ब्लैंक (आल्प्स की सबसे ऊंची चोटी), और बाद में माउंट कांगचेंगा पर चढ़ाई की। उन्होंने अपने साहसी कार्यों के लिए 'बुल' नाम की उपाधि हासिल की थी।
कीर्ति चक्र, पद्म श्री, अर्जुन पुरस्कार और मैकग्रेगर पदक से सम्मानित किया जा चुके कर्नल कुमार ने 1970 के दशक के अंत और 1980 के दशक के प्रारंभ में सियाचिन ग्लेशियर क्षेत्र में कई अभियान चलाए।
The death of Col. Narendra 'Bull' Kumar, a noted mountaineer who played a key role in securing India's Siachen Glacier. He was instrumental in the success of Operation Meghdoot in 1984. He was the first Indian to climb Nanda Devi. He climbed Mount Everest, Mount Blanc (the highest peak of the Alps) in 1965, and later Mount Kangchenga. He received the title of 'Bull' for his courageous deeds.
Having been awarded the Kirti Chakra, Padma Shri, Arjuna Award and the McGregor Medal, Colonel Kumar undertook several expeditions in the Siachen Glacier region in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री बूटा सिंह का निधन
पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और राजस्थान कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता बूटा सिंह का निधन। अनुभवी राजनीतिज्ञ बूटा सिंह ने 1986 से 1989 के दौरान राजीव गांधी सरकार में गृह मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया था।
इसके अलावा बूटा सिंह ने कृषि और ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री के रूप में भी काम किया था। वे जालोर-सिरोही लोकसभा क्षेत्र से चार बार सांसद रहे। उन्होंने 2007 से 2010 तक राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जाति आयोग के अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य किया।

51वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोह
भारत का 51 वां अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोह 16 से 24 जनवरी तक गोवा में आयोजित किया जाएगा। इस समारोह की शुरुआत थॉमस विंटरबर्ग की फिल्म एैनदर राउंड से की जाएगी।
इस संस्करण का आयोजन पहली बार हाइब्रिड मोड में किया जा रहा है और इसमें ऑनलाइन और वैयक्तिक दोनों तरह के अनुभव शामिल होंगे।
इस महोत्सव में दुनियाभर की कुल 224 फिल्मों को प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा।
इनमें भारतीय पैनोरमा सेक्शन के अंतर्गत 21 गैर फीचर फिल्में और 26 फीचर फिल्में शामिल हैं। इस समारोह की शुरुआत थॉमस विन्टरबर्ग की फ़िल्म ‘अनअदर राउंड’ से किया जाएगा।

यूपी सरकार ने किसानो के लिए ‘किसान कल्याण मिशन’ शुरू किया
उत्तर प्रदेश (यूपी) सरकार ने किसानों की आय को दोगुना करने के लिए एक विशेष कार्यक्रम शुरू करने की घोषणा की है. यूपी में विभिन्न गतिविधियों के जरिए किसान कल्याण और किसानों की आमदनी दोगुना करने का अभियान 06 जनवरी को शुरू होने जा रहा है. इस मिशन के जरिए किसानों को नए कृषि कानूनों के प्रति जागरूक भी किया जाएगा.
किसान कल्याण मिशन नाम का यह कार्यक्रम राज्य के सभी विधानसभा क्षेत्रों को कवर करेगा. किसान कल्याण मिशन के तहत, समूचे राज्य में विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाएगा. इस मिशन के जरिये किसानों की तीन नये कृषि कानूनों को लेकर जारी नाराजगी को दूर करने का भी प्रयास किया जाएगा.
केंद्र सरकार हर हाल में साल 2022 तक किसानों की आमदनी बढ़ाकर डबल करने पर फोकस कर रही है. इसके लिए सरकार ने कई योजनाएं चलाई हुई हैं. इनमें पीएम-किसान सम्मान निधि योजना, मृदा स्वास्थ्य कार्ड, खेती में नई तकनीकों का इस्तेमाल, किसानों को जीरो ब्याज पर कर्ज मुहैया कराना, किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड समेत सभी योजनाएं शामिल हैं.
